My name is Dave, and I just joined this site in the hopes of getting some advice and information from those with experience in driving and modifying electric carts.

I hope to buy an electric Club Car DS this fall, as the golf courses are clearing out their older models. My plan is to fit it with solar panels for charging, and inverter to run electric tools all for use on my hobby farm property (which does not have electric power as yet).

Welcome to the forum dgrant. Nice to see you joined the community!

I am not sure if the solar panels will have enough power to run a powertool, you may want to think about investing that money towards a small Honda generator.
