Hello!
My mother has an electric golf cart in Mesa, AZ and it sits on a decoratively-painted carport floor. This past year, one of the batteries began leaking acid and some of it dripped onto the painted surface below. Fortunately, the paint wasn't affected greatly by the leak and batteries have since been replaced. I am looking for ideas for some kind of mat that she can park the cart on. I know that commercial mats are available, but they seem a little pricey. If I use a piece of carpet, I'm afraid that the acid might either leak or burn through it. I'm wondering if a section of vinyl carpet runner might work. It's inexpensive and would likely resist any acid drippage. If anyway has any insight into this, please let me know and thanks.
