    a friend of mine bought a g16 the 2nd time out his governor quit working,i know there is a setting for the spring tension on the governor but cant remember the proper setting Thanks John

    Hello, adjusting the governor spring tension on the Yamaha G16 is indeed a straightforward process. You'll find it located on top of the rear differential (see pic). To disable the governor, simply screw the 10mm nut all the way in (item number 6 in the pic). This adjustment can potentially increase your cart's speed from the standard 14 mph to up to 20 mph. The standard setting is probably around 3/4 of the way out.
