Trying to fix up my recently purchased1992 G8AH Fleet Classic. Would like to replace windsheild, dash, wheels to get the project started. Having trouble finding parts that fit the G8 model. Any advise would be appreciated. I read that the dash for G14 and G19 also fit the G8. Is that correct?

I think you're diving into a great cart with a lot of potential. The G8 is somewhat rare, so finding parts specific to it can feel like a treasure hunt, but there's good news, while the G8’s body is pretty unique, parts from models like the G11, G14, G16, and even G19 can be made to fit with some adjustments. The G11 body is probably the closest match if you want to keep it looking similar, though they all have their slight differences.
Many of its mechanical and electrical components overlap with the more common G9 series. So, if you need things like powertrain or electrical parts, you’re not stuck, many G9 components will work just fine or can be retrofitted easily. If you’re considering a motor swap, something like the VC 460 kit from Vegascarts is known around here to work really well in Yamahas from the G2 to G14 models, so that could be an upgrade path for you down the road.
As for the windshield and dash, you’re right in thinking that parts from the G14 and G19 could fit, those models share some dash and windshield compatibility with the G8. And with a bit of modification, you can even get some G16 body parts on there. It’s all about being a little creative with your options.
You’re on the right track and this is definitely the fun part of bringing a classic back to life!
