I thought it was clutch noise so i replaced both clutch's and that was not it and also checked for piston slap also not it any help would be greatly appreciated before I start ripping the motor out. Engine sounds strong, I would isolate the starter with the engine running to rule that out, maybe loosen up the tensioner all the way and wedge a long bar or pipe just enough to keep the pressure, once the engine is running remove pressure on the starter to see if the noise changes at all, keep us in the loop

so its not the clutches, starter, heat shield and do not think it is the motor we tore it apart and everything look's fine from what we can tell, we are going to go ahead and rebuild it since its already out we are thinking something may have been loose causing the noise will keep yall updated when we get it rebuilt and put back together
