It's not typical to lubricate the moving parts when replacing a clutch weight on your G2. The clutch system is designed to function without extra lubrication as adding oil or grease can attract dust and debris which could lead to more wear over time. The weights are held in place by Allen screws that are secured with Loctite, so you’ll want to be cautious during removal.
To safely remove the weights, you’ll first need to break the Loctite bond on the screws. The best way to do this is by applying heat to the screws, either with a heat gun or a small torch, for just a few seconds. This will loosen the Loctite and make it much easier to remove the screws without stripping them. Once the Loctite is softened, use the correct size Allen wrench to carefully back out the screws. Be sure to keep everything clean and free of grease during the process, as adding lubrication can cause issues with the clutch operation in the long run.
Once the weights are replaced and the screws reinstalled, you can apply Loctite again to secure them, just like the original setup so that everything stays in place properly under the stress of the clutch's operation.
