What other motors fit the yamaha G9A

I just purchased my first golf cart. it is a 1994 G9A, lifted, wheels, light kit, etc... but was missing the engine. I have found it nearly impossible to find a replacement engine for it, used or new.

Has anyone swapped their stock engine with something aftermarket?

Hi G9! I've seen people put in a Honda GX670 engine in their cart. Have you checked your local dealers to see what they have laying around?

I live in UT and dealers are sparce around here. thanks for the tip on the engine, i will keep and eye out. any other suggestions?

Hmm you can also keep an eye on ebay and craigslist, someone local may be parting out a cart or selling a cart with an engine in tact. I am almost sure the G2 and G9 both run the same engine. Good luck
