Welcome back!
Since you’ve mentioned that the belt was rubbing and the noise persists even after changing the rear motor mounts and belt, it’s possible the issue lies within the clutch system or another related system. We're going to use process of elimination to narrow down the possibilities. This is highly effective because it helps isolate each component, allowing us to identify whether the noise is coming from the clutches or another area of the cart.
The first step is to run the cart without the drive belt installed. By doing this, you can rule out the drive belt and driven clutch as the source of the noise. If the noise disappears when the belt is removed, it confirms that the issue is related to either the belt itself or the drivetrain. On the other hand, if the noise persists without the belt, the problem may be coming from the engine or another related part.
Additionally, you should carefully inspect both clutches. Make sure that the rear clutch (driven clutch) is opening and closing smoothly, and the front clutch also known as the drive clutch is engaging properly. Any signs of excessive wear, wobbling, or sticking could indicate that the clutch is causing the belt to slip or make noise.
