  • 1995 Yamaha G-14 Retail Value?

Completely overhauled, clean & well maintained. Ball /Club Washer, Clear Fold-able Windshield & High Quality Enclosure.
I traded for a 2002 G-16 Electric and am hoping someone knows what it's valued at also.

Thanks & Hit 'em long and straight

Here’s a look at how to approach this.

The 1995 Yamaha G-14a is known for its durability. In its base form, without additional features or overhauls, the G-14 generally ranges between $1,500 to $3,000, depending on condition and market demand. Given that your G-14 has been completely overhauled, clean, and well maintained, with added features such as a ball/club washer, clear foldable windshield, and high quality enclosure, its value could be higher.

However, several common signs of aging can significantly reduce its price. Engine condition is important, issues such as difficulty starting, excessive smoke, or reduced power indicate wear and may deter potential buyers. The body and frame should also be inspected for rust, dents, or damage, with rust being a particularly serious concern for people. Additionally, damaged or worn out suspension parts not only impact the cart's performance but can be costly to replace. Although not directly related to all carts, the condition of electrical components, including lights and wiring, should not be overlooked as they contribute to overall functionality. Lastly, interior wear such as fading or cracking upholstery can signal age and deterioration, potentially lowering the cart’s appeal and value.

The 2002 Yamaha G-16e electric cart typically has a retail value of around $3,000, depending on its condition and additional features. The value can be influenced by several factors. The condition of the batteries is important, if they are near the end of their lifespan (over 5 years) or not performing well, it can significantly reduce the cart’s value, as battery replacement can be costly. Additionally, issues with the cart’s electrical system, such as faulty wiring or a worn out motor, can also impact its worth.

Electric carts like the G-16e, can face specific challenges that may affect their overall value. Problems with the charging system, including the charger and charging port or missing parts, can be a red flag for potential buyers. Wear and tear on the cart’s interior and exterior, such as damaged upholstery or rust, can also detract from its appeal. Of course market trends and local demand for electric carts versus gas carts can impact their value, as changes in buyer preferences might influence how much someone is willing to pay.
