I have no spark from my plug

I believe that i have the problem diagnosed as the CDI unit (the six plug electrical unit) but i am not positive. I have power going into the unit in alternating waves but i don't have power coming out of the unit to my orange wire which goes to the ignition coil. I took a unit from an old golf cart that i have for parts and this one isnt working correctly either. Am I on the right track or going in the wrong direction? Any help would be appreciated.
