bought a 1982 G1. runs but has no power. Acting like it is not getting fuel. The fuel pump was bad so we replaced that and took the carburetor apart and cleaned it. It runs better but still no power. Took the reeds out and they are open. Dealer said reeds are not the issue they say its the crank bearing seals. Has any one heard of this or have suggestions?

That seems to be the main problem with them. I am putting new seals in my 83' right now. I guess you can hear the air puffing out from the seal when you try to start it. Mine was leaking oil and I picked up a whole package deal after they put a 340 snowmobile engine in it. I have never heard it run but it looks good. Trying to figure out how to bench test my igniter before I put it all back together. Good luck.
