Hello and welcome to the world of golf carts! It's great to hear that you're diving into DIY maintenance and troubleshooting. Let's address your concerns about the wiring setup. Providing pictures without disassembling the cart presents a bit of a challenge.
Have a look at the attached photos. Now, while I can't physically show you the exact wiring configuration, we can certainly work through this together. Im giving you access below to high quality wiring diagrams and service manual color descriptions, which are incredibly valuable resources. Let's leverage them to the fullest extent. I recommend printing out the wiring diagram and using crayons or markers to color code each wire according to the descriptions provided in the manual. This might seem like a tedious task, but trust me, it's worth the effort. By visually mapping out the wiring connections with color coded diagrams, you'll gain a much clearer understanding of how everything is supposed to be connected.
Now if you're feeling a bit overwhelmed by the prospect of handling the wiring diagram and color coding process, don't worry you're not alone. Wiring diagrams can be intimidating, especially for those who aren't accustomed to working with them. In situations like these, it's perfectly okay to seek professional assistance. One option is to take your cart to a local shop or mechanic. They'll have the expertise and experience to interpret wiring diagram and troubleshoot wiring issues effectively. They can verify that all the wiring connections are made correctly.
If you're concerned about the cost of professional services, I understand. Repair centers can sometimes be expensive, but there's another option to consider: automotive mechanics or lawn mower shops. Many automotive mechanics are skilled at working with wiring diagrams, and they often offer more budget friendly rates compared to specialized golf cart shops. They'll be able to read the wiring diagram and correct any connections, while you take it from there and continue your diagnostics and any issues with any components with the cart now correctly wired, then make the necessary repairs or replacements to get your cart back up and running smoothly.
