gas yamaha not charging

I have a g14 that the starter works but it does not charge the battery. I have no voltage at the small red wire going into the starter gen. What should I check to try to get the cart charging?

Bad or dirty connections or probably the voltage regulator, you can bypass it to check it. I am not familiar with this cart so I couldn't tell you exactly how to do that, maybe someone else here can chime in. But first, make sure your starter/gen is putting out around 15 volts.

Check continuity from the DF starter terminal to the connection in the VR. Could simply be a loose or dirty connections.
