Yamaha electric cart surges

Help, my 48 volt 2003 Yamaha electric cart surges, and I can't figure it out. All the major cables have been removed, and the contacts have been cleaned. The main battery cables and batteries are only 2 and a half years old. It runs fairly well but hesitates, during some throttle positions, causing a jerky acceleration/deceleration. Note I mention the throttle position but it varies as to what position it hesitates on, sometimes it does it rarely, while other times more frequent. Any suggestions.

Hi. Check the connections again, how dirty is it under there? If its bad, you will need to take off and clean each connection. Blow everything off with an air compressor.
