How Does That Third Charger Wire Function

I am changing from SLA to Lithium batteries in my 2017 Drive2 and the charger being included is just 2 wires. I believe the third wire at the battery connector is to tell the cart electronics that a battery charger is plugged in and to kill any other functions. When the charger is plugged in, is that third sense line supposed to be high or low and at what voltage? I could not find a schematic for my JW9-82107-03 charger and I would like to use the same type plug when charging.
