i bought a yamaha 36vcart it came with a 48 volt charger will it work ok?

no! you will burn wires and battery posts if try to use it.

i've been using it and it seems to work ok turns itself off when charged no burnt wires that i can see can cart be changed to 48v with 2 more batterys is that all you have to do ?

How much run time are you getting with that charger? To switch you would also need wires, 48v solenoid and a 48v controller.

havent run cart long at any one time i've charged it three times to make sure it had a complete charge longest charge time was about two hours charger stops itself cart seems slow up hills maybe i should say weak i'lltry to get a run time this week and see thanks for response
