  • need some help !

    we have a 96 yamaha g16 and we changed the contoller box thingy and it ran , now sometimes when you press the pedal it goes but you have to pretty much push it to the floor . is there anyway to test the pedal ? Are does anyone have any idea as to what to check !

    When you floor it, does it go full speed?

      yes it does ; it seems like the slightest touch and it goes wide open.

        Check the box under the floor boards for the throttle pedal. Sometimes the pin falls out and it will do what you are explaining.

          Thanks gonna check that out in the morning its to dark out to check it now.There is a spot that when you first press the pedal it jumps then once you pass that spot it goes wide open.

              Mourning justme, check everything in that area make sure it is all clean moving properly. You were saying that this new controller was a little different than your old one. Did you contact the person who sold it to you to confirm how to wire this one up?

                its an oem box, it only had to plugs that pluged into the f/r switch and foot pedal . everything is cleaned and working .it is just when you press the throttle it just goes wide open.

                  So basically the cart is jumping to full throttle once the gas is pressed, does it matter what position the pedal is in, if you slightly move it does it go faster/slower? I believe your problem might be the throttle sensor.

                    if you press it goes full peed and the more you press it the same speed as when you start

                      Thank you we changed the throttle sensor and that fixed our problem..
