I hope this helps someone on here. I forget how I tore up the rear bumper on my G19 but it had broke loose from the mounting bracket. I repaired it once and broke it loose again when I hung it up down at my creek. Well tonight I decided I was gonna put a trailer hitch on my good G19 for a trailer I just built to be pulled with it. Plus I am retiring this G19 so it's the perfect test unit. So I removed the bumper bolts (14mm). I took the bumper and brackets over to my work bench and tried to fit the mounting bracket back into the bumper but that was a NO GO. Turns out they are molded into the plastic. So I got my drill and dremel tool out and used the dremel tool to make a nice straight line, then used the drill to make the opening the right size . You don't want this to fit in there loose because if it's loose it will at some point come back out. So I made it a tight fit . I drove it in with a ballpien hammer then glued it in. MAKE sure it is in straight and flat. If it is crooked it will not seat right and defeat all your efforts. Plus you want it to look good once it's back on the cart.

Thanks for the write up! I turned it in a step by step article using your experience for easy reading. By following these steps, you can effectively repair and reinforce the bumper of your G19 cart, ready for use with a trailer hitch and maintaining its appearance and functionality. Thanks electric ride!- Start by removing the bumper bolts using a 14mm wrench or socket wrench.
- Take the bumper and brackets to a workbench for easier handling.
- Attempt to fit the mounting bracket back into the bumper, but realize that they are molded into the plastic and cannot be simply reattached.
- Use a drill and dremel tool to create a suitable opening in the bumper for the mounting bracket. Begin by using the dremel tool to make a straight line where the opening will be located. Use the drill to carefully make the opening the correct size, making sure it is neither too loose nor too tight. It's crucial to create a snug fit for the mounting bracket to prevent it from coming loose in the future.
- Once the opening is prepared, carefully drive the mounting bracket into place using a ball peen hammer.
- Apply glue or adhesive around the edges of the bracket to secure it firmly in place within the bumper.
- Check to make sure that the bracket is inserted straight and flat to ensure proper seating and appearance once reattached to the cart.
- Finally, reattach the bumper to the cart using the previously removed bolts, verifying it is securely fastened and aligned correctly.
