how to get the steering wheel off

I want to re-align the steering wheel after I put on my lift kit. Do I need a puller to get the wheel off? It is on there pretty tight... I tried wiht a hammer but I did not have any luck.

Shouldnt be too hard. Remove the nut and pound a little on the back with a rubber mallet. It should come right off in a pop.

i have same problem. bought new steering wheel. took off nut and steering wheel still wont come off. tried banging on it with rubber mallet and nothing.

you can try puttin your knees behide the wheel put some pressure on it. put the nut back on only far enough so its plum with the shaft. then tap the shaft while pushin with your knees.
