94 yamaha going then large GRINDDDD and stopped working

I have a 94 yamah, it stopped working after I heard a large grinding noise. The batteries are charged and I am still getting a grinding noise. As I press ddown onthe accellerator it increases. Suggestions?

maybe you stripped a gear in the rear end?

sounds like you may have broke or stripped a gear in the motor or diff

It is more common for a yamaha to strip the brake hub. Check that before you do anything else.

I took off the tire and checked, this was the problem! Very quick and fairly easy fix and now im back on the road!
