Yamaha G22 Pedal Response

Sometimes when I push on the pedal it has a slow response but normally goes away after i use it for a few minutes, any ideas as to what may cause this?

If you haven't done this already, I would clean all the battery connections and make sure they are tight.

Probably weak batteries, how old is your set of batteries? How often do you keep your batteries fully charged while in storage. And also have you thought about replacing them soon?
