  • Problem with Wiring at Solenoid ??

    Guys,

I have a G14E and just had the controller rebuilt. I used it for a couple of weeks, but my wire from my battery melted into. See pics...

I'm not sure if it's wired correctly and can't tell much from the schematic.

    Thanks,

    PTODD

If the cart ran for a couple of weeks I would think it is wired OK.
Most occurrences of melting cables are from bad cables or loose/corroded connections. The discoloration of the nut on the solenoid indicates it was loose or the cable was bad.
Based on your photos I would suggest that you clean and/or replace any cables that are corroded and also clean the connection points. The connections need to be tight; loose cables cause arcing that creates the heat causing the meltdown.
