G-19 wont charge

My g-19 wont charge. I know it is dead . Can my cart be so dead that my charger wont kick on when I plug it in. How can I charge it if my charger wont kick on. Maybe 1 battery at a time. I have 6 --8volt batteries. I've heard that the batteries can be so drained that the charger doesn't sense any voltage thus doesn't kick on. I this true. The batteries are fairly new.

Your charger will probably not come on until your pack is at 37v or so. Take a 12v automotive charger and charge each battery for 15 minutes and see if you can bring each battery up to around 6.5v then plug your golf cart charger and see if it comes on.
