When I removed the clutch flange from the crankshaft on a 1976 model, the woodruff key was gone and the keyway wallowed out. The crank taper is scored and I believe the flange is junk.
I removed the flange from a 1970 model and there was not a keyway. Will this flange work on the 1976 ? The sheave is obviously different, but if it was matched with the starter/generator would this assembly work ?
Typically I would trash anything with a bad keyway/taper......I was hosed on this deal and need to make the best of it.
Any help would be appreciated.
