Ok so I have been reading things on here and its been very helpful. I have a 99 ezgo with eh29c and I couldnt get it to start. I did comp test and both were dead so I adjusted the valves and got nothing. I pulled the motor out and apart to find nothing bad just a little carbon around the valves and worn rings. Replaced the rings and cleaned the valves and seats threw on a new head gasket and put it all back together. I have 180 comp in both cylinders now but it will only run with the choke pulled out and smokes like a chimney. IDK.. please help asap..

Hi. How much oil did you put in the golf cart? Also, im sorry but usually when you replace the rings you MUST replace the valve seals or you will have to go back in and do it because it will not run right. It is a possibility that this is your current problem, but it could also be due to a dirty carburetor and too much oil in the engine.Regards
