1999-2000 txt ignitor issue

Let’s make a long story short. New pulse coil, new voltage regulator, new battery, new solenoid. Parents bought this cart and had no issues until after the lift kit, and lights were put on. They parked it one fall, next spring and no spark. Averages an ignitor a summer now. Thinking a reputable brand of regulator and ignitor are in order. Maybe some replacement wires here and there. Last summer I tried disconnecting the lights thinking there might be some connection but no luck. Is this common? And what could possibly be frying the ignitor every year if not the regulator which could just be a cheap new one from the beginning after the first ignitor died. Any input is appreciated.
