The Ezgo Valor with the EX1 Kymco engine, like in the picture, does not use a solenoid, it uses a relay (see attached photo). You can try pulling the relay and flipping it 180 degrees to see if it works in the opposite direction for relay troubleshooting purposes or check out this thread here for additional troubleshooting

More info in this attached link here as well:
Ok so have a 2022 Valor EX1 gas. Just died and no longer does nothing. No fuel pump no headlights. Horn works and reverse beeper works but does nothing else. Checked ignition switch, pedal switch and fuse and relays all seem good? Any ideas other than the ISG module? Or is there a way to check if that’s actually if?

it won't run and the lights won't turn on but the horn works and you can turn it in reverse and when it on reverse it will beep when you turn it from forward to reverse so it might be the relay?

Sounds like a faulty ISG controller, try pulling the inline 10 amp fuse located on the battery positive cable, wait 15 seconds, and reconnect. If that temporarily fixes the issue click here and scroll down to post #7 and continue reading

Pull the battery and load test it just to rule that out, pull all the plugs on the main harness and blow them out with compressed air to clean them, then run through this list in the attached photo, if everything looks good it's likely a faulty ISG. Let me know if you get stuck troubleshooting anywhere and need assistance..

The ignition relay is only $24.36 on shopezgo.com part number 684136, only problem is, its out of stock until they get more. I don't usually like to throw parts at a problem in order to try to find a fix.

Usually you'd want to trace the wires with a meter and see where the voltage drops off. The starting circuit is controlled by the key switch, fuse, accelerator limit switch, and the ISG controller. With the key switch in the ON position, battery current is available to the accelerator limit switch which remains open until the accelerator pedal is depressed. When the pedal is pressed, the plunger on the switch is released, the contacts close, and the ignition circuit is energized. Battery current then energizes the solenoid (relay) which closes the contacts and energizes the starter circuit. The starter/generator now functions as a starter to start the engine.
