The Ezgo Valor with the EX1 Kymco engine, like in the picture, does not use a solenoid, it uses a relay (see attached photo). You can try pulling the relay and flipping it 180 degrees to see if it works in the opposite direction for relay troubleshooting purposes or check out this thread here for additional troubleshooting

More info in this attached link here as well:Ok so have a 2022 Valor EX1 gas. Just died and no longer does nothing. No fuel pump no headlights. Horn works and reverse beeper works but does nothing else. Checked ignition switch, pedal switch and fuse and relays all seem good? Any ideas other than the ISG module? Or is there a way to check if that’s actually if?Regards

Posted earlier by NKingJit won't run and the lights won't turn on but the horn works and you can turn it in reverse and when it on reverse it will beep when you turn it from forward to reverse so it might be the relay?Regards

Usually you'd want to trace the wires with a meter and see where the voltage drops off. The starting circuit is controlled by the key switch, fuse, accelerator limit switch, and the ISG controller. With the key switch in the ON position, battery current is available to the accelerator limit switch which remains open until the accelerator pedal is depressed. When the pedal is pressed, the plunger on the switch is released, the contacts close, and the ignition circuit is energized. Battery current then energizes the solenoid (relay) which closes the contacts and energizes the starter circuit. The starter/generator now functions as a starter to start the engine.
