Hello everyone! New to the forums, but not to golf carts.I recently purchased a 1988 ezgo marathon 2 stroke for $250, and it needs some wiring help. The guy that had it before messed with it and there's random wires hanging out, cut and stripped and I just don't know where to start. Mainly just want to figure out where it all goes right now. I can get more pictures if needed. Pictures won't upload here, so I'll make a Google drive link. I have plenty of tools and not afraid to dig in. Here's the link to the pictures. Hope I can get it going!

Jeeprider, congrats! The 88 and 94 sound like a great project, there are several members here with each, and tons of great information in the forumsUpdated by Michael Eddie; June 1, 2024, 11:32 AM.Regards

Would you happen to have the parts manual for the 87 marathon with the gas engine 2-stroke?Attached Files:

You can use the 1981 for engine part numbers/reference since they both have the 2PG engine, any "updated" body parts can be referenced with the 1987 electric parts manual.

Great catch on the fuel tank difference! You’re absolutely right the 81 tank won’t match up with the 87. However, the fuel tank from the 89-91 models should be a match for your setup. In fact, the following parts manual even includes some part numbers that cover certain variations from the earlier years.
If anyone has the actual parts manual for the mid 80s through 1988 2pg models feel free to chime inAttached Files:
