engine will crank only when coil is disconnected

i have a old ezgo gas 1200 workhorse, 4 cycle robin engine, cart just suddenly wont start, no spark, started replacing coil, ignitor, still no ignition, fuel is there. so because it was so old, i replaced solenoid, voltage regulator, timing belt, set valve clearamce. so now, it wont crank but if i disconnect one or both connection to coil, it cranks. pretty sure i connected all the wires back. any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

go with brandname parts, not amazon low cost parts. just wasted my money and time. all worked well with red hawk ignitor.
