Hi all, thanks for the add.
We have a 1991 EZ GO cart having some charging issues.
This morning I tried to test the starter/generator voltage but am confused in what I'm seeing. I thought it would show a steady voltage either high or low. When I ground out the (green) field wire the voltage jumps up and down very quickly. Goes up to 17ish and back down to just a few volts while running at speed. The changes are very quick too.
Is this a good indication my starter/generator is bad?
