When you've checked everything and the problem still persists it can really leave you scratching your head. From what you're describing, I’d focus on those fuel lines and the fuel pickup tube in the tank. That pickup tube runs down into the fuel, and if it gets clogged, you won’t be getting any fuel to the pump no matter how good everything else seems. There's always the possibility that one of your fuel lines has a small pinhole too. Think of it like trying to drink a soda through a straw that’s got a tiny hole in it, you’re pulling in more air than liquid. In your case, the pump’s pulling air instead of fuel and that could explain why the cart runs briefly when you prime the line but dies right after.
I’d really suggest replacing all the fuel lines even if they look fine at first glance. The way the fuel system works is by using vacuum power that’s driven by the crankcase pulses. When you crank the engine, those pulses push fuel through the lines at around 4 psi sending it to the carburetor. It’s a simple system, but it relies on everything being just right. If something’s off, like a bad pulse line, a clogged pickup tube, or even an issue with the fuel pump, your fuel flow will be inconsistent and the cart won’t run as it should. Every part needs to be working together in sync for the system to function properly.
Before you replace the fuel pump again, I’d definitely start by replacing all the fuel lines first including the pulse line, and checking that pickup tube in the tank for any blockages. These are often the culprits in cases like yours.
