Where and how much is the best place to get a new or used chassis

  • #2
If you’re just looking for a single EZGO chassis, your most cost effective route would be hitting the used market. Buying a used golf cart that you can strip down for parts or just use the chassis is going to save you money compared to purchasing a new one. You can find used carts at local golf cart shops, through private sellers, or online marketplaces like Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and eBay. Another good option is checking out insurance auctions or salvage auctions, where you can find carts that might be totaled due to minor accidents but still have a perfectly usable chassis. Sites like Copart or IAAI sometimes have golf carts listed and you can often snag them at a good price.

Now if this is for a bulk project, say, you're thinking about manufacturing or modifying carts on a larger scale, EZGO does have a history of offering their rolling chassis in bulk for custom builds. A good example of this is Western Carts, which purchases EZGO chassis directly from the factory. They buy the chassis new and modify them into luxury carts, adding their own custom parts and reselling them under their brand. This could be an option if you're thinking about a larger scale operation.

For a one off chassis though, the used market is going to be your best bet. But if you’re looking to get into manufacturing or customization, buying directly from EZGO in bulk might be more appropriate for your needs.
