I just acquired an '89 Marathon gas. The driven clutch is bent and cracked. so I removed it from the shaft. After removing the clutch, the imput shaft has alot of play (appx)\ 3/16" in any direction. i found a seal sticking out around the pully and I removed that then removed the retaining ring but the imput shaft won't come out. 3 questions: where can I find a used driven clutch, How do I get the imput shaft out, is my problem bigger than the value of the cart? The general condition is the cart is poor, its been sitting for 5 years. It looks like a rag and it needs tires. The starter works and I did get the engine started after a complete fuel system cleaning. The engine has 150 compression cold. Is it worth it or not??

Addressing mechanical issues is important especially if the cart has been sitting unused for an extended period, being a name brand cart these models often retain value well even in poor condition due to their reputation and demand. To maximize its value, focus on important fixes first just to get it running, followed by cosmetic improvements thereafter.

Without a functioning driven clutch the cart won't be able to engage properly leading to usability concerns. It's like the heart of the cart's drivetrain, so making sure it's in good working order is key. Overall, with planning you can maximize the value of your cart while remaining on a budget and attract potential buyers, as long as you can get it running spending the least amount of money, you can consider keeping it, or sell it and use that money for something newer.
