1982 EZgo gas no spark

I have a three-wheeler 1982 gas model. On the back of the firewall next to the reverse/forward switch is a sealed box with five wires coming out. The box is about 2x2-1/2 inches and seems to control the spark with wires going to the coil and a connector to 36v. There is a faint sticker on it with "cB120 stamped on. Is this a regulator or controller and are there replacements available? Thanks for any help!
