  • '97 EZGO suspension question

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum. I own a 1997 EZGO TXT golf cart with a 6" lift by Jake's and 22" tires.

I know the leaf springs on my cart are totally worn out. The other day I had the cart up on blocks to adjust the brakes and decided while it was up I would test the shocks. I can compress them by hand and they wont push back out. So I put them back on to worry about later. I noticed while the shocks were attached to the leafs the brackets still werent straight up and down.

If I buy new leaf springs can I run them without the shocks until I get new ones? Does anyone know where I can get some cheap coilovers to replace the hydraulic shocks?

Sure you can run the old shocks. I still run my old ones in my 97 workhorse. They really operate as dampers more than shocks.
