We have a cart for use around the acreage. More often than not it will miss at mid range rpm when going to get the mail, etc. It starts great, sounds great but at times will hear the audible miss. I replaced the plugs and fuel filter and that did not help. I took the outlet from the fuel pump line off while running in neutral and it was pumping gas out. Any easy way to determine if it is fuel or spark issue causing a mid range miss?

Dealing with a midrange miss in your ezgo often comes down to tuning. Aftermarket carburetors are unreliable for this engine and do not provide optimal performance.
Assuming you're working with an OEM carburetor, the issue may lie in the carburetor's jets. Jets are the component responsible for regulating fuel flow within the carburetor. In a golf cart carburetor, jets control the amount of fuel mixed with air before it enters the combustion chamber. A clogged or dirty jet can disrupt this mixture, leading to performance issues such as what you are experiencing. To address this, you'll want to clean the jets thoroughly. Start by removing the carburetor from the cart and disassembling it carefully. Locate the jets, typically found in the carburetor's main body, remove and inspect them for any signs of buildup. Using a carburetor cleaner and a small wire, carefully clean out any dirt or residue from the jet's pinholes. These pinholes are important for delivering fuel into the combustion chamber and must be completely clear of obstructions.
Purchase a rebuild kit for your carburetor. These kits often include new gaskets, and other items needed to restore your carburetor to like new condition. While you're at it, be sure to replace the old fuel with fresh gasoline and inspect and replace any intake gaskets or air cleaner filters that may be worn or damaged.
