Carb cleaner

Working on the carb on an EH29C engine. Got it off and want to drop it in a can of carb cleaner. Can't see any obvious parts that should not be in there - other than the float which I will remove. Is there any problem with this?
It's kinda gummy - sat up a while but the kids want to use it now so I'm cleaning it up.

just remove any plastics, rubber, and like you said the float.

Used a spray type carb cleaner instead - works great now. Thanks.
