  • EZGO Gas 94 running rich

My '94 Medalist runs well, as I have little experience with golf cars I am assuming that its performance is average. My problem is when I put the car away, there is a strong odor of unburned gasoline. There are no leaks in the fuel system. My tentative diagnosis is that the engine is running rich and unburned gasoline collects in the muffler.

I would like to lean it out, but I don't know where on the carb to make that adjustment, and how do you run the engine with out the wheels turning?

Do you just jack up the rear end?

the air fuel mix screw is on top of the carb closest to the engine. it should have a black plastic cap on it that will only let you turn it a quarter turn. this probably wont acomplish what your wanting to do. do you have the right plugs in it? BP4ES made by NGK. the neutral thing - put the shift lever in between forward and reverse. that should give you a "neutral" setting.
