No reverse

I have a 93 E-Z-GO 36v that runs fine forward, but will not go in reverse after I upgraded all the cables to 4 guage. I know while upgrading the cables, I spun the S2 terminals on the motor. But, after speaking with someone at EMP, they said the motor shouldn't even go forward if the connection in the motor was broken. EMP suggested that I look at the controller. Well, I already had a new Alltrax controller on order and after installing it, I still had no reverse. All my connections seem to be tight. I hear the solenoid clicking and the light on the controller on when I switch between forward and reverse. Batteries are charged. Again, it runs fine going forward. What else should I check?

Hi garkl. Check the contacts on the F/R switch, they can get rusty and dirty over time preventing a solid connection.
