  • static in radio

    Hey
I'm new here and wanted to see if anyone might know a solution to my problem. I have a 91 ezgo Marathon. I have a 12 volt radio using two of the six volt batteries in series. My radio worked fine for 2 1/2 years. My 1204 controller went out last week and I replaced it with a new rebuilt controller. Since then, every time I push the pedal to go, the radio has static. As soon as I let off the pedal, no static. There's no doubt that the problem is in the rebuilt controller, but the place I got it from said there is nothing they can do about it. Doesn't seem right. Anyone had this problem?

Hi jeg. There is a filter for 12 volts radios that goes on the positive radio line, you can get one at radioshack.

You can also add a extra battery and run all of your accessories off that. -Radio, lights and so on. If you wire the pos. and the neg strait to that battery you will get no added radio noise and you don't have to worry about an uneven cart pack charge.
