I've got an older 36 volt EZGo cart that came to me with a Letronic II charger. It's one of the ones that has the third (red) wire that works a safety interlock so the cart can't be moved while the charger is plugged in. Here's the question:
I got a new charger, and want to "hotwire" the old one to use on a 36 volt pallet jack we have at work. Hooking the two main leads to the pallet jack battery doesn't get it to turn on. What do I need to do - like maybe hooking the red wire to positive or negative - to get the charger to recognize a battery that isn't in an EZGo cart?
