  • Where do I start on dead txt with good batteries

Hello folks. I am new to golf carts. Here is my situation. I am trying to get an old txt cart going. Had dead batteries, but just had my teen age son put in a good set. they are all charged and in good shape (tested with load tester). He is a good kid but when installing, he connected made a bad connection and I think we burnt out something. Now the cart won't do anything, Batteries are still good. Won't charge and nothing works. totally dead. Cart was close to junker (good mechanics but ugly and beat body).would really like to get it running for Halloween. Planned on using it to to tow neighbourhood kids around on small horse wagon. Not worth taking to shop. where do I start?

Before making bad connection when installing replacement batteries, cart was "alive", just very bad batteries. would go into gear, and charge indicator would light up. Now totally dead. Don't really mind putting more time and some $$ into it, within reason.
