My 2005 EZ GO TXT won't go forward of backward when I press the accelerator pedal. There is a clicking noise however nothing happens. I am a total newbie when it comes to golf cart repair. Do I need to replace the solenoid?

yes the clicking sound is from the solenoid. You can get one on ebay or amazon. Easy to install also. -
my ezgo 48txt won't go. It started when I replaced the batt cable that goes to the solenoid (it was totally corroded). However I didn't flip switch to 'tow' position and boy did I get some sparking! I yanked the cable away. Then I tried it again and boom another big spark. Then the third time it was just a whimper of a spark so I tightened it down. But then it wouldn't go at all. The backup beeper doesn't work now. I replaced the solenoid and got a refurbed controller and flipped switch to 'tow' this time. Nothing happens. I did notice that the charging port would get warm so I disconnected it from batts. HELP!!!Comment
