Series motors are known for delivering high torque at low speeds, if your cart isn’t already equipped with a series motor you should consider upgrading to one for your torque requirements. They excel in towing or navigating soft and uneven terrain. For example, if you plan to use your cart for hunting or driving through muddy areas, a series motor will give you the strength you need to tackle these challenges without getting stuck.

And a series motor can generate a lot of torque without requiring extensive modifications. This means you may not need to invest in additional gears to achieve the power you’re looking for. If you're really keen on maximizing the torque with this setup there are a few additional upgrades that could make a world of difference. For starters, switching to a higher amp controller can give that motor the extra power it craves allowing for better torque when you're tackling those tougher trails. Pairing this with particularly a high capacity lithium battery can reduce weight and add runtime. And don't overlook the wiring and solenoid. Using heavy duty wiring helps so that everything runs smoothly and can handle the increased power.
