I want to install a power inverter (12 volt to 110 volt) so I can charge phones, speakers etc.... I have six 6 volt batteries, how would i do this? i do have what i think is a power reducer, I have headlights and tail lights. All I really need is to add something with two USB ports but not sure of best way to do this.

You could consider tapping into two out of the six 6 volt batteries to achieve a 12 volt power supply for accessories (see attached photo), but comes with some drawbacks. When you tap into just two batteries, you're essentially creating an imbalance in the battery bank. This can lead to uneven discharge rates among the batteries, which can shorten their lifespan and reduce overall performance over time.
Another solution is to use a separate 12 volt deep cycle accessory battery. This battery can be charged independently so that it remains fully charged and ready to power your accessories consistently. This approach isolates the accessory load from the main golf cart batteries, preserving their charge for driving and other functions.
Alternatively, you could install a 36 to 12 volt reducer in your golf cart. This converts the higher voltage down to 12 volts specifically for powering accessories. The advantage of using a reducer is that it evenly distributes the accessory draw across all six batteries so they discharge evenly, minimizing the risk of imbalanced battery wear.
