I just bought my first electic cart.2002 EZGO.Motor feels hot after use.How hot is normal?

Hey jrank! It is perfectly normal for a motor to be warm to the touch, can you keep your hand on it or is it too hot?

I just bought the cart and was driving it down the road and back.When I put the cart up I was looking it over and noticed the motor was hot to the touch.I was just wondering how hot was normal?
