  • What does pds mean/

    I am looking for another cart. I need to know what I need to pull autos around once in awhile people "no golf: Please share with me what to buy.A dealer told me BESURE YOU HAVE A SWITCH ON THE DASH. not knowing at all what was meant .he said I should have A "pds" cart.? Any help will be greatly appreciated bob s

    I believe it stands for Precision Drive System. But that doesn't mean much. What counts is that it is a REGEN motor. That means the motor uses it's own inertia, (when slowing down), to regenerate power, (kick some juice back to the batteries).

      Any good cart will pull a car. A lot of boat dealers around here use them frequently. The Series carts, (series wound motors), are better torque motors than the regens. In either case, don't let the motor "slip" while towing. Once you get moving, either keep going or put the F&R in neutral. Slipping the electric motor, (like one might do with the clutch in a car), is very hard on them.
