Ezgo electrical problem

Just installed a lift and big tires on my 2007 ezgo pds stock cart and the solenoid is getting real hot and the red wire hooked on the solenoid is melting the insulation at the ring terminal hooked to the solenoid. Any help will be appreciated

Replace that wire. And check all the others for loose ends and corrosion

the red wire is coming out of the plug that plugs in to the controller just splice a new one on?
