Just had to install a new curtis 1205 controller in my Jacobson 610 hauler. When checking the resistance of the pot box with accelerator fully depressed I read 7K ohms. My info says it should read 5K ohms max (+- 10%). Will the higher resistance cause a problem? Dave

Any potbox that provides a nominal
0–5kΩ output (controller output begins at ≈300 ohms, full output is
≈4400 ohms) will work with the standard throttle input.
Once the controller sees 4.4K it will run at full speed.
